‘I was absolutely blown away by the script’

Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma will be back to the screens after a long break. The actress who was last seen starring in the 2018 movie Zero, will be witnessed portraying the role of Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami in the upcoming movie Chakda Xpress. Earlier today, the team of Netflix released a behind-the-scenes video of the movie during Netflix’s Films Day event.
The team of the streaming service shared the video and also a special message from Anushka Sharma. Anushka could be spotted saying in the video, “Hi, I am Anushka Sharma, currently training at a cricket ground in Leeds in the United Kingdom for a very special film, called ‘Chakda Xpress’. I am playing a role inspired by the life and times of the legendary pacer and former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami.”

The Dil Dhadakne Do actress further said that the script of Chakda Xpress was an eye-opener for her and she was absolutely blown away by it. Anushka said, “I was absolutely blown away by the script, it was an eye-opener for me into the world of women’s cricket as I am sure it will be for you all as well.”

The actress ended her message saying, “I am sorry I couldn’t be there personally to present this film. But here we are so that we can bring you this soon. I am so excited for you all to watch this amazing story onscreen. Now, I have to run quite literally because I am at my practice session but I cannot wait to bring this film to you all on Netflix.”

Also, while sharing the BTS video on her Instagram, Anushka Sharma wrote, “Here’s a glimpse into the Chakda ‘Xpress journey with our earnest director @prositroy #ChakdaXpress #ComingSoon #ChakdaXpressOnNetflix #HarDinFilmyOnNetflix.”

Talking about the film, Chakda Xpress is an upcoming sports biopic based on the life of Jhulan Goswami. Directed by Prosit Roy, the movie will stream exclusively on Netflix.
