Please try after some time: Partha Chatterjee dialled Mamata Banerjee 4 times since arrest

West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday, dialed state’s chief minister Mamata Banerjee four times but it went unanswered.

As per the process, whenever a person is arrested, he/she can inform one person who could be a family member, relative or friend.

While being arrested, Partha Chatterjee told ED officials that he intended to inform West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee about his arrest. He made four calls, at 2.31 am, 2:33 am, 3:37 am and 9:35 am, but none of the calls were answered.

PARTHA CHATTERJEE ARREST :

West Bengal Commerce and Industries Department minister and heavyweight TMC leader Partha Chatterjee was arrested by the ED on Saturday morning in connection with its probe into the alleged school scam jobs in West Bengal. The arrest of Partha Chatterjee followed Rs 21 crore in cash being recovered from the Kolkata residence of Arpita Mukherjee, a close aid of the former education minister.

Arpita Mukherjee has been remanded to one-day Enforcement Directorate custody. She will be produced in the PMLA court on Monday.
